We are a five piece experimental loud-quiet-loud metal/punk/weirdness based out of Eugene, Oregon. We have been a band since July 2003, and have recorded one full-length album Sickbird & the SARS Falcon (2005). Currently we are working on a concept e.p. 'GARY".
We started in 2001 as an instrumental project called 'USAfuk'. At this time we were a five piece containing 2 guitars, bass, drum, keyboard (Jerry). Jason and his wife had a child during this period, and we took a break from the music for a year. When we decided to get back to it, we had lost the keyboardist, but soon gained a vocalist.
This is how Jared fell into the picture. He lived around the corner from us, and asked if we had a singer. We said no, then one day he was asked to sit in on a practice. Then he was asked to join, and we think he said yes. Do to our name when we tried to book shows, the venues wouldn't take us seriously (post 9/11 patriotism hard at work) so we changed it. Now, alot of people ask us how we got the name? It was thought of after staring at a piece of art depicting 'Jesus luminating a kitten in a ball of light'. We also chose this name as a big "FUCK YOU" to those that used the name USAfuk to shun us. We don't take ourselves seriously, but we love the music that we play. During the year 2005 we added a third guitarist (Nick) for around 10 months, but our paths took us in different directions.
So that brings us to the NOW. Jared Hill sings, and screams in this band. He used to play with S.E.D. and GiftGivenCurse. Jason Hazlett and Mike Morrison play guitars in this band. They used to play in Zero Theory (the eugene band). Kendall Fox plays drums in this band. He's played in who know's what bands. Jamie Hartley plays the bass in this band. He used to play with Virtuous Pagans, and many other bands.
