The Unit Breed Trabant Love Songs Pink Black Power Struggle

Zine:
Wonder why you haven't been getting your mailorders recently? I got married, and then I went on a honeymoon to Vietnam and Bali. I'm back now, I'll be sending out your orders and rocking out in my own band soon.
I've always had a blog, I just don't want to call it that. Blog is a lame word for it. However, I'm going to try to write more short articles in the style of a blog and make the interface to the "zine" more blog-like. If you want a real blog, here's one I made recently: What Cats Like. Enjoy.
I spent the fall living in Budapest. Read about it here: BP Blog

Earn It Yourself! There's a new website in town, that I've made with some friends. It has some of the features of this site (calendar, articles) combined with parts of BYOFL (band listings) plus some new really cool features, includeing a show trade tool that I think is one of the only ones out there meant to connect underground bands with one another. Check out the Beta site! EarnItYourself.com

Music:
The Unit Breed
Lost Eyes CD / DVD
Lost Eyes is a double disc CD / DVD extravaganza. This is the 5th album by The Unit Breed, and it showcases the bizarre brilliance of the band. "Lost Eyes" is 55 minutes of unsettling, dark music. The DVD contains a movie version of the CD. It's a work of unacknowledged genius, and has moments reminiscent of Sonic Youth or Fugazi, but remains unique and uncategorizable.

Trabant
Young, Reckless and Debonaire
Stripped down punk rock, conceived and recorded in the dark crannies of rural exile. Fast, cheap and out of control. The CD comes with videos and a diy guide to making CDs.

V/A - How to Stretch a Dollar
"Ok, so this just became one of my favorite compilation CDs. And it's hard to find a good compilation CD these days. This compilation was pleasing and appealing to my senses. The CD includes 26 great tracks. The ska bands on here will put you in awe. The horns will make you get up and dance. These songs are catchy as hell, but still maintain that 'underground esque.'"- frenzy distro. This is the first CD Cheapskate Records ever put out and it came out way back in 1998. Even though most of the bands on it have broken up it's still appealing to new comers. It's worth the four bucks, I swear.

Why Not - Caution Wet Floor
Why Not was formed in 2001 consisting of Poncho(Vocals), Richard(Guitar, Vocals), Fabio(Bass, Vocals), and Homer on drums. Together they play a raw, energetic blend of punk rock styles interwoven with underlying and not often subtle tints of humor. They put on an excellent live show, and have been Miami mainstayers since their creation. They have played virtually all local venues from Churchills, Kaffe Krystal, Club 5922, the Gables Pub, The Factory, The Alley, countless house parties, and have played with such bands as Electric Frankenstein, The Crumbs, The Vibrators, and among local favorites they have also shared the stage with bands on Lookout Records, and Tooth+Nail.
